    friendly hosts

The Magnolia room was cozy as a country hug, and Merv's scrambled eggs were the stuff of legends, y'all! Carolyn, bless her heart. The big ol' porch was perfect for sittin' and chattin'. Can't wait to come back and soak it all in again!

    delicious breakfast

    comfort concern

A few things you should know

The breakfast was a good spread of homemade croissants and fresh eggs. The hosts were attentive, offering great tips on local attractions within walking distance.

The coffee machine didn't work and removing shoes was unexpected. A few slippers would have been a nice touch for comfort.

    homemade breakfast
    charming hosts
    noisy environment
    cramped space

You can't miss the homemade hot dogs craving attention all over town! Honestly, the breakfast spread was a real gem, and the cozy Queen Room with Balcony reminded me of a little slice of heaven. Plus, the owners were downright charming.

Hot, rainy weather did. Despite that, it was still a good stay, and the charming staff helped us cope with it all. A quieter A/C might just bring more dreams!

    backyard pond
    short walk restaurants
    family-friendly atmosphere
    creaky stairs

Staying at this B & B was lit for our family! The kids loved splashing around in the lovely backyard pond, and we appreciated how close we were to Fort Malden National Historic Site and the fun restaurants nearby. Perfect for our getaway!

My wife says that the creaky wooden stairs could be a hassle for little feet.

    victorian decor
    downtown proximity
    cramped bathroom

The Victorian room features excellent decor that transports you back to 1904, with a comfortable bed and a fireplace for winter nights. Proximity to downtown and the river walk is a definite plus.

Wooden stairs creak with every step, which can be noisy and a hassle to navigate. The bathroom setup feels cramped, particularly for taller guests, and the sink's placement outside the toilet area could be inconvenient. Dust on the sheets may affect your comfort as well, and the breakfast didn't match the quality typically expected from a B&B experience.

We had an amazing night in the Queen Room with Balcony! The beautiful bathroom and stunning breakfast stood out, but I did wish for a little more privacy on the balcony.

    charming decor
    delicious breakfast
    cozy vibe
    warm room
    noisy wooden stairs

I stayed in the Queen Room for a night. The decor was really charming and added a nice vibe. Breakfast was definitely a highlight-homemade croissants and everything! The room was a bit warmer than expected, and it wasn't as cool as the outside rooms. Still, overall a cozy stay!

    charming stairs

It was just a solid selection for a short break in Amherstburg with good price value. The wooden stairs added some charm but were quite noisy. Bring your slippers for comfort on the steps.
